- Action Item: John will look into a plaque or some way to thank donors, esp Campbell Scientific
- $1000 to be donated from Horas Mann (Northern Utah United) to help with outdoor garbage cans
- Benches: We are looking for donors to help purchase 6-8(maybe up to 10) at the cost of $800/each
- Action Item: Please be on the lookout for businesses or individuals willing to donate. If you are talking to anyone, please update the council so that we aren’t all bothering the same people

- 660 West (south of 2600 South) Parking Concerns
- Parents parking on both sides of the road to wait for their children which creates a hazard for walking children or vehicles trying to get in and out of that street. There is no sidewalk on either side of the road there
- Action Item: Cindy will send out a safety reminder to parents in coming weeks reminding parents of the safe routes, as well as encouraging parents parking along 660 West south of 2600 South to go elsewhere to pick up their children (the pick-up lines clear out in less than 10 min!)

Discussion Items:
- Welcome - John
- Minutes presented by Sam, Approved: 1st Sara, 2nd Kim
- Binder Update: Cindy handed out the 2025/26 schedule and roster, TSSA plan update, and 2025/26 School Plan
- Website Review - Audrie
- SCC is under the “About Us” tab. The search function is now just our school instead of searching the whole district. The website can be switched to different languages with the button with a flag on it on the bottom right
- School Safety - Melissa
- The state has a safety council that directs protocols - For example, doors must be locked, magnets cannot be used to keep the door ajar. Pinch guards are used by a lot of teachers, but technically, this is also not allowed. Doors must either be closed and locked or all the way open. The district is working with the State to allow the use of pinch guards.
- There is a new valley-wide emergency app and standard response protocols
- An additional camera will be installed on the 3rd portable so that the parking lot and north pick up line are more visible ($1500).
- Needs: new walkie-talkies, buzzer for outside doors to alert when a door is propped open($200/each)
- TSSA funds can be used if we write a goal
- Digital Citizenship - Sarah Larsen
- The state made a change, and Sarah can no longer prepare the curriculum for Digital Citizenship - a licensed and certified teacher has to do it now. Canyons School District shared their binder, and the first lessons were taught Sept 29-Oct 2. Moving forward, a combination of that and CommonSense Media will be used.
- Lessons to be taught Jan 5-9, Feb 17-20, and April 13-17
